I’ve used other press ons but these were quite a bit thinner and more polished looking. I wore them to travel for work and my colleagues couldn’t believe they were press ons. I even got compliments on the flight. Excited to try more colors. I did end up filing them down a bit, which was easy enough.
I am one of those people who chips nail polish within hours of putting it on. I garden, I craft, I lift weights, I type all day, I work with horses—just way, way too active to justify spending the money on a great manicure. Trust me when I tell you: These. Are. It.
1) You really CAN file them—from any direction! The ones in this pic are Peony round—I filed them down to a short, almond-ish shape because I find that more comfortable to wear (and it helps slim my li’l sausage fingers). I have tiny hands but wide, fat nail beds, and it’s hard to find pop on manicures that fit. Also, like I said, I’m *not great* with nails, and I really can’t function when they are too long. Not only can I reshape these however I want, BUT I can get plenty of use out of the full set. I can file down the nails that are too big for me and basically double my money’s worth.
2) They LAST. I usually get about 4-5 days of wear before the right thumb pops off, but that’s to be expected with someone like me (see “very active” above.) I just pop it back on. They DON’T bend or break, even if you reshape them. I could probably keep these on indefinitely if I just re-glued the ones that come loose, but overall I keep them on for about 10-14 days before I get bored and feel like changing the set or taking a break.
3) THEY ARE REUSABLE. Y’all, I was SO skeptical about this, but they really are. I am slowly building up a collection and plan to just rotate through them and see how long they last. It’s really…
They are easy to put on and easy to file. The shape was a bit too round but again it was easy to file the sides a little straighter.
They are slightly see-through so I could kind of see where air bubbles were if i looked really close. But if you make sure to press down hard when applying there should be no issue.
Due to a few health issues and their medications, my nails layer and shred. I've gone through periods of time getting gel and dips; both did so much damage!
I bought these without a lot of high expectations - I was around when Lee Press-On nails were all the rage, and remember how awful they were.
Get them in and put them on while watching a movie; took 10 minutes. Filled them down some (did a bit more later as I use a flat Apple keyboard and typing with long nails is frustrating), and took a picture. They looked really good! Let's see if they're still on in the morning.
Yep still on. Looking at them in the light of day, I was even more impressed. But the real test will be wearing them, I do not wear rubber gloves for dishes, etc. Three cats to take care of, 2-story house, self-employed, no help.
Today is day 23 and they are STILL ON and looking great. I would have never, ever believed this if it hadn't happened to me. I will be carefully taking them off tonight as there is a lot of grow-out at this point and the cuticles need a good trim.
